Terms of Service

HostCart lets short-term rental hosts create branded QR stores so guests can browse products and pay through Stripe. HostCart provides software — hosts remain responsible for what they sell, property rules, and guest experience.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to host.

You are solely responsible for products and services listed in your store, including pricing, descriptions, availability, quality, and legal compliance (e.g. alcohol sales, food safety, local business rules).

You must honor fulfilled guest orders and maintain appropriate insurance for your rental activity where required.

You may not list illegal items, misleading offers, or content that infringes third-party rights.

Guest payments are processed by Stripe. Hosts must complete Stripe Connect onboarding to receive payouts. Stripe’s terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing.

HostCart may charge subscription or platform fees as shown at signup or in your dashboard. Fees are billed through Stripe unless stated otherwise.

Chargebacks, refunds, and payout timing are subject to Stripe rules and your settings. HostCart is not a bank or money transmitter.

Guests purchase from the host’s store, not from HostCart directly. HostCart facilitates checkout technology. Product disputes are primarily between guest and host, though we may assist at our discretion.

Do not misuse the platform: no fraud, scraping, reverse engineering, interference with security, or use that violates law or third-party rights. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

HostCart and its branding, software, and documentation are owned by Vendeclip. You retain rights to your store content; you grant us a license to host and display it solely to operate the service.

The service is provided “as is” to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the extent permitted by law, Vendeclip is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for host product issues, guest disputes, or Stripe outages. Our total liability is limited to fees you paid to HostCart in the 12 months before the claim (or $100 if greater where allowed).

You may stop using HostCart at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, risk, or discontinuation of the service. Provisions that should survive (payment obligations, liability limits, IP) remain in effect.

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
